Protestors managed to tear down 3 concrete blocks of the apartheid wall on Wednesday.

"Actually—and this was where I began to feel seriously uncomfortable—some such divine claim underlay not just ‘the occupation’ but the whole idea of a separate state for Jews in Palestine. Take away the divine warrant for the Holy Land and where were you, and what were you? Just another land-thief like the Turks or the British, except that in this case you wanted the land without the people. And the original Zionist slogan—’a land without a people for a people without a land’—disclosed its own negation when I saw the densely populated Arab towns dwelling sullenly under Jewish tutelage. You want irony? How about Jews becoming colonizers at just the moment when other Europeans had given up on the idea?"

To Alef, the letter
that begins the alphabets
of both Arabic and Hebrew-
two Semitic languages,
sisters for centuries.

May we find the language
that takes us
to the only home there is -
one another’s hearts.

Alef knows
That a thread
Of a story
Stitches together
A wound

astrangerdanger:

Isn’t it funny how despite the fact most of the world seems to recognize Palestine, it is those dozen or so who’s beliefs seem to matter more than the rest of the world.

So today I woke up to “Kings and Queens” by 30 seconds to mars playing on my computer. I happen to love this song, not only because Jared Leto is an absolute hottie with a great voice but also because of the lyrics:

“Into your eyes
Hopeless and taken
We stole our new lives
Through blood and pain
In defense of our dreams”

The world and all it’s greatest nations have been built through the blood, pain and tears of others. Every land was taken from someone else … slavery built the pyramids and thievery gave us America. In a time where Palestinians are fighting for what is theirs, children are dying and families are forced apart because of roadblocks – I think that these lyrics ring truer than they ever could. I wish so many didn’t have to suffer because of the dreams, beliefs and anger of others

A parent shouldn’t have to bury their child, the pain of losing a child is merciless. It haunts and tortures you. 124 Israeli children have been killed by Palestinians and 1,452 + Palestinian children have been killed by Israelis since September 29, 2000.
Innocent children in Palestine are being murdered, how are you going to make a change? Speak for the people that have been silenced. Allah ykoon fe 3oonhm.
