On the day of judgement, everyone will be running screaming “Nafsi, nafsi!” or “Myself, myself!” you will look at your mother, brother, sister, father, daughter, son etc… and not care what happens to them. You will only be worried about yourself and what you did. Even the Prophets will be worried about themselves and they were the best of mankind. Yet, in this life the only thing we worry about is what everyone else is doing with their lives and what they are doing wrong. We worry so much about our neighbor’s hijab or our friend’s way of praying that we start neglecting our own souls. Advising someone or telling them what is right/wrong is our duty as a Muslim but attacking someone, back biting or looking down on someone is against the very teachings of our Prophet (saws). I see it so much on this website especially, Muslims that think that they’ve found the perfect path and can now look down on other Muslims that are still struggling. But they want to help (I have flaws but yours are worse, let me guide you) by publicly humiliating you or condemning your actions as though they have the power to do so as a mere human being just like the rest of us.

It’s like 2 gardeners that both have weeds but one has more than the other so the gardener with less weeds decides to constantly complain about the other’s garden and criticize how many weeds that gardener has. Then one day the other gardener slowly begins picking the weeds in his yard while the other gardener looks over the fence chastising him for moving so slowly and taking his time weeding his garden. When he finally finishes, he goes inside and the other gardener has nothing left to do but turn around and face his garden which has completely overgrown itself from lack of attention while he was busy minding the business of the garden next door.

Don’t allow your ego overtake you and cause you to ignore the state of your own heart and soul.
